Dhira Sarah Barein: I was born in an artist family, my mom was weaving carpets,, my aunts where studying art, my father is an actor. I went to a shool where there was a big focus on artistic classes. I worked with clay, sew clothes, painted, made music, acted and carved wood. I developed my passion for painting when i was 16 years old. My mom married an indian so it happened that we spend many years there, which can be recogniced in my paintings. Later on my love live lead me to spain, holland and southamerica. The Impression of many cultures come together and melt in my paintings. The feeling of beeing split and homelessness the search for the meaning of live, to arrive somewhere and feel at home sowhere, the striving for harmonie, influence my art in such a way that the sujets are mostly surreal worlds in which objects, plants, animals and humans are beeing in some kind of connection which each other. The paintings are mixtechnique. I use acrylic, pigment, oil, laquer, moddelling paste, Ink, Sand Goldleaves on canvas. Since 2001 i held a lot of exhibitions in India, Spain and Germany, took Contracts and sold up to 120 paintings, most oft them in Pune,India, Ibiza,Spain and Hamburg,Germany.
