David Michael Arrigoni/American Artist: Born in San Francisco, California, David spent much of his youth studying the artwork in the nearby de Young Museum and other fine art museums in San Francisco. In the 1920’s, David’s family emigrated from Lucca, Italy, near Florence, where magnificent art has flourished through centuries. David’s father, grandmother, and great grandfather were artists of distinction in Lucca and Florence. At an early age, David demonstrated his innate ability to create impressive works of art. Under the tutelage and influence of his artist father, Eduardo Angelo Arrigoni, David gained insight into Italian painting style and techniques, and developed a compelling need to study the styles of the 'old masters' in European art museums—eventually replicating their works. David's continued research and study of methods and materials, past and present, contribute to his style today. He creates traditional, abstract and contemporary work.
