About The Artwork

All funds received from the sale of prints of all my works, I will transfer to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine! Title: Spring that changed us Size: stretched 50*40cm | 19.7*15.8in Sides: painted, no need for framing Frame: unframed, stretched Signature: front and back, also signed Certificate of Authenticity "The days go by, the nights go by, The summer's passing; yellow leaves Are rustling; light deserts the eye, Thoughts fade away and feeling sleep – All falls asleep. And I don't know If I'm alive, or but so-so, Just floundering about the earth, For I know neither rue nor mirth..." Taras Shevchenko "The days go by" (fragment) Тарас Шевченко "Минають дні, минають ночі"(фрагмент) Translated by John Weir. After the war began, our whole life turned into one continuous endless day, an endless terrible dream from which you want to wake up, but, unfortunately, everything that happens is not a dream, but a terrible reality, and beyond the window is impenetrable darkness. This is exactly what I have depicted in my artwork. A door behind which a peaceful life with a beautiful spring and summer was possible, but dreams were shattered by a cruel reality, an all-consuming haze gives a feeling of uncertainty, longing and hopelessness. The spring that forever changed us, Ukrainians, has passed, the summer will also pass, everything is mixed up and every day we live with only one thought: "the war would soon end." Ukraine will win! But how much time and lives it will take is unknown! It is from the realization of this that it becomes scary.

My name is Yulia. I am an artist from Ukraine. In life, I try to notice the beautiful in the simple, to feel the moment and convey my impressions and sensations on canvas. And here, in the gallery, I want to share with you my emotions, inspiration and the result of my work. The main reason why I paint pictures is an irresistible desire to create something beautiful that will become a part of our difficult, but diverse and handsome world. For some reason and life difficulties, I started my career not so long ago. I have no professional education, but I have a great desire to create. I like to experiment, as in life, as well as in creative activity. At the moment I paint with acrylics mainly in the style of realism and impressionism, but I think that I will not limit myself to this, our world, like ourselves, is very multifaceted and interesting, and art is a world of self-expression that has no boundaries.
