A Los Angeles artist and third generation Japanese American with roots in abstract and pop art. She weaves an intricate tapestry of colors and textures, drawing inspiration from the mundane and the profound, transforming them into paintings of artistic expression. She works mostly with watercolor and gauche on paper to achieve a free-flowing and expressive effect that borders on the transcendental. She attended the Otis Art Institute of the Parsons School of Design. Through her selective use of vibrant hues and bold brushstrokes, she captures the essence of color energy and channels it into her work. Each stroke is a meditation, a moment of creation that speaks to the soul and touches the heart. Artist statement: Painting has become a fulfilling form of expression and mindfulness for me.
