Stein Sein ist schön Print

It happened when I spent a month in a very lonely region of my homeland Austria, the so called Waldviertel, when I was inspired to create this series of „Poetry on Canvas“. The very beginning of this inspiration happened in a gallery , when I dived into a deep conversation with two old ladies, telling me about the heaviness in the peoples life in earlier centuries. Suddenly this sentence was in my head: „This sadness was not always there.“ And as I like to make you think and feel, to bring hope, to look further with the art I bring into the world, I started to paint the series „ Poetry on Canvas“. In my studio in Salzburg again, I continued painting these ones,- and after a studio visit from two very silent ladies, the poem : "Being a stone is fine" showed up, in combination with the stones of the mountain "Untersberg" surrounding me there. Are these the thoughts of the Mountain? What would it feel being a stone? - What do you think? You're welcome to share your feelings, contact on my website.
