ABOUT THE ARTWORK
To form the rings of floated ink on the water's surface you must be still. Each breath can send the rings into abstraction, sitting silently dipping the tip of my brush into the ink and then just kissing the waters edge, alternating between black and white, forming a single ring or many dozen, each paper transfers the pattern revealing a unique surface design. This was inked on an antique piece of watercolor paper.
