Swell of Tranquility Print

This is one of several pieces done as a therapeutic exercise to let the oil colors flow into an abstract composition without any predetermined outcome other than the process of going into a meditative state. The intriguing thing about an abstract is that it is like an Rorschach inkblot-- painting it, and looking at it allows the mind to wonder and to come up with various interpretations that are neither right nor wrong. This was painted deep into the beginning of the upheaval of the pandemic the world is facing in 2020. Instead of painting in my typical focused style, I needed to disassociate, with my paints, from the tensions we are all experiencing. This painting has been sealed with a protective varnish.
