About The Artwork
This is a visual conversation between the two passions I have in life...art and fashion. Both figures face each other and each stand alone and compliment each other. I used a lot of glazing and transparency play to create an abstracted space that puts focus on the figures. It is meant to start conversations about being dressed and somewhat stylish and undressed as a male identified person. In comparison to its accompanying painting it is a less dramatic symphony of brushstrokes and paint application.

Georgia based visual artist, and fashion designer Kenneth “Kenny” Jonas draws inspiration from the world of fashion and art history’s nude tradition. As a contemporary artist-- Jonas engages the social constructs centered on clothing and how it relates to our perception of other people and how we view ourselves. His prints, drawings and paintings are a contemporary view of the human figure. Initially, Jonas’ portraits were based on editorial photographs taken of fashion models. As his practice grew, he has shifted his gaze towards everyday people- an inclusive view. Kenneth “Kenny” Jonas received his BFA from Georgia Southern University in 2014, double majoring in Apparel design and 2D Studio art concentrating in drawing and painting.
