About The Artwork

Billy is a frequently recurring character in my art. He is a nightmare bird that vaguely resembles the Kiwi birds of new Zealand. Unlike the fluffy brown Kiwi Billy can fly with his stubby wings and will steal your heart (the visceral way). Often he just stands and judges. This piece as with many others is birthed from and inspired by my children, who in childhood would substitute their imagination for situations where there were experiences, feelings or emotions they did not yet have the verbal range to properly describe. Waking dreams, watchers on the edge of the real.

Shipping & Returns

Female human in mid-life. Cannot exist without creating. Similar to probably many others I find profiles impossible to write. When read back they either sound far too self deprecatory or self aggrandising. There is no middle ground to be found.
