About The Artwork
As Konstantin Eduardovich Tsiolkovsky once said – “The Earth is a cradle of humanity, but humanity can’t forever stay in a cradle”. Once upon leaving their cradle, humans will rush into the space and face other dwellers of the universe. The planet, depicted on this artwork, its one hemisphere is eternally sunless, there is darkness, snows fall and supersonic winds blow. The other hemisphere is forever exposed to the sun, covered with sand. There is no time here, at all. On the merging line of day and night is the Oasis, where privileged ones live. The Oasis is protected by the high walls and creatures. Travelling through space people has fallen into the “rabbit hole” and found themselves on the dark side of the planet. Their ship couldn't take off again. Its passengers rebuilt the ship into the base, where they are destined to live. There is a source of heat in the center of the base, which gives energy, like a little sun. Apart from darkness, cold and snow, there are creatures on this planet, trying ceaselessly to assault the base, preventing people from stepping out and researching the planet, and possibly finding a way to continue their journey.

Sergei Samorodov – a Russian artist form Tambov. I work in my original MD (mix detail) art style, which emerged spontaneously after I experienced apparent death and lightning strike. This style’s vision of the world as synergistic system in constant movement and development allows capturing and systematizing a chunk of chaos from the overloaded information field. The harmony of co-existence of different patterns and elements is achieved by the means of technique, color/form interplay and meditative state of consciousness. As a parkour practitioner, actor and stuntman I bring in the sense of holistic art practice in my paintings and exhibitions, combining various mediums, materials and performance arts. I believe that art is everything that is created through honest emotional exposure.
