This painting was on display at Studio B in Myrtle Beach, SC from Jan '19 - March '19. This painting was based on the following theme: There's a scary peacefulness in the air right before a storm hits. The air gets stagnant and humid. The animals have all fled to there homes and the sky becomes filled with the eerie gray tone that only a good storm will bring. But nothing compares to the feeling that comes when looking out into the water right before a storm hits. There's a kind of feeling that only this moment will bring, a clarity, respect, admiration, a bit of fear, a loneliness and a calmness all in one. It's a unique and unmistakeable feeling.

You will find most of my work is centered around the little things in life. It's always the little things in life that seem to have the most meaning and I try to stay true to that in my work while also representing the complications/gratifications of being apart of the 21st century. We live in a world that has become so busy and so stressful, it is that fact that shapes much of my work. When you put all of the details aside, it always seems to come back to that. This world is so busy, a fact that is both a blessing and a curse.. but happiness and fulfillment always seem to come from the littlest things that we take for granted. I try to bring those ideals to the forefront of my work and inspire people to take a step back, put your phone down, pull the car over for a moment and remember/aknowledge those little things that motivated you to be become who you are. Whether that consists of taking a moment to look up at the sky, traveling to new places to lend a helping hand, or just simply learning something new, it's important to take the time to remember who you are and why. It's those feelings and ideas that I strive to inspire my audience with through my artwork.
