About The Artwork

There is nothing quite like ringing in the New Year in the studio. Traditionally I like to review the previous year and take a look at the work I've done over the past 365 days. This year it was different as. I was given a gift of a new model who suggested I spend the day drawing her instead. She had never posed nude for me before. Like all my models she chose the poses she felt most comfortable in and the results of these quick life drawings were spectacular. Here is just one of many that I created to ring in the new year! This work of art is done on acid-free paper. The drawing is created in Liquitex Professional Acrylic Ink, Dr. Ph Martin and Winsor & Newton watercolors. The work is signed. I provide a certificate of authenticity.

Stewart Fletcher’s paintings, drawings and works on paper have been the subject of numerous solo and group exhibitions over the past forty years. His paintings, drawings and works on paper are part of several private international collections in over 20 countries and in 36 American States. Known for his fascination with the human body, Fletcher explores various concepts beyond the representational image. The great equalizer he believes is when one's clothing is removed. All identifiers and societal statuses disappear and the real person appears. Fletcher does not believe that his work is erotic, however some people do because of their social, religious and regional upbringing. He often uses humour and satire to convey his views on the world around him..
