About The Artwork

The features of the new narrativity of objective or magical or dualistical art will be considered in Oleg Mingalev's painting “The Golden Dust of Time. "The infantile paradoxes of Grandeur", created by the author in 2014. The picture resembles the alphabet of analogies. It has its own metaphysical reality, its own Looking Glass (the Acorn is depicted in the coordinates of Anti-world, in a mirror reflection, in the center of the picture, in fact it is a magical stage theater). The hypothesis of the existence of antimatter and anti-worlds was expressed in 1933 by P. Dirac, but, unlike the existence of antimatter, the hypothesis of the existence of anti-worlds is not confirmed or refuted by observations. In 1964, Gustav Naan (physician) put forward the hypothesis of a symmetrical Universe, according to which, along with the ordinary world, there is an anti-world.The existence of the anti-world is one of the important fantastic assumptions used in the works of the science fiction genre. The picture has its own coordinate system and values. The shadowy transcendental world is as real as the reverse side of any phenomenon, fact or appearance and as shaky and fragile as the shadow (Shadows of Oak and Ropes). Any separate reality cannot exist without its transcendental foundation, archetype (remember the world of Plato's ideas). We all play reality, arbitrarily building our world, supporting it or destroying it. The picture involves elements that support the "I-image" of a person (according to Jung), drawn parallels between games for children and adults. Images are in a state of alchemical creation, transformations. The new realities provoked by them are similar to the apparently visible energy flows, the existence of which we had not previously suspected. 1. About the Sun. Two Suns...one is in the East and another one is in the West... symbolize the processes of evolution and involution, coordinated and balanced by each other. The Sun is a symbol of the sacrifice of the Existing Father, the absolute Giver, the crowned and all-conquering, powerful Creator, Source of Strength and Glory. The Sun gives up its energy unlimitedly. 2. About Time. Clepsydra (hourglass), as a fragmentation and convention of the human approach on the issue of time, does not have its own time reference point, but the calculation of which depends on the hand, which returns clepsydra and allocates its time interval, indisputably, in a subjective way. Image of overflowing of the dunes shifted by the wind is as a natural phenomenon of the cycles of Time. According to Gurdjieff, everything in the world, phenomena of any order, have an objective value. Only Time does not have this, since it is not the result of the functioning of a particular cosmic phenomenon. It comes from nothing, always mingling with everything, while remaining self-sufficient and independent. Only Time in the whole Universe can be called and glorified as “Ideally Unique Subjective Phenomenon”. Does it exist separately from the consciousness of the living beings? In the picture the author demonstrates the relativity of time perception by the method of visual comparison of the state of the depicted objects. By the way, those objects that in their self are observable as static, here, in the picture are simultaneously depicted in the process of their internal transformation. The dandelion, which is in the bud stage, then brightly blooming and already covered with fluffy light seeds, exists in its past, present and future. The Trojan horse-toy, being previously an objective reality, was perceived by many generations as the top of the ingenuity of the military art of the ancient Greeks - here it became a mythical and nominal phenomenon, symbolizing treachery elevated to virtue. Ancient warriors which formerly had real bodies were transformed into bone toys and symbols. Alive, but ready to die and potentially already dead, they give up their invaluable life for the sake of someone else's lust, passions or ridiculous ideas. People-toys, people-things, people-skeletons and so on...
