The Impressionist Storm on the Sea of Galilee is an original work by Rembrandt painted arount 1633 and was stolen in 1990 from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. Being the only marine painting that Rembrandt did, it makes it one of his most special works by this great artist. Because of this, I decided to make my own version of it, in the impressionist style. The entire work is made with spatula technique and the details were made with brushes, always respecting the impressionist technique, with strokes full of oil and a lot of texture, which gives life to this painting, making you feel the emotion of the moment, respecting the essence of Rembrandt's work. The painting was recently exhibited in Mexico City at the Sophart art gallery, in the "Solsticio" exhibition from November 9th to Novembre 16th.
