By the name of Rajasthan, you can see big mansions, Havelis in front of your eyes. These old homes had door made of carved wood and metal. And instead of a doorbell, there were metal pieces to knock on the door. This artwork is inspired by those lovely doors. Its been done on 300 gms watercolour paper and being treated so that it doesn't loose color or paper doesn't turn yellow over the period. The most enjoyable part of the painting is the metal pieces in the door. As they react to the environment, they turn greenish and bluish with some rust. All these shades are not mere colours but the epitome of all extreme weathers this door might have seen and protected the inhabitants from. Another thought this door evoked was that we keep the doors of our minds closed. Be it due to old traditions, past experiences, surroundings etc. To open that door, we need someone or some experience to knock. And once we hear the knock and open the door, it can be life-changing.

Singapore
I am a Singapore-based artist who primarily works with watercolour and acrylic mediums. I draw inspiration from nature and culture and have a profound passion for folk arts. I love working with watercolour for its ability to create subtle colour variations by manipulating the paint's flow and blending capabilities. This medium's versatility encourages me to experiment and develop a unique artistic style. I also enjoy the challenge of using the fluidity of watercolour to capture the beauty of nature. My personal experiences and preferences heavily influence my artwork. I find solace in creating art, as it is a powerful form of self-expression. I strive to create inspiring pieces that evoke emotion and connect with my audience. Hailing from central India, I developed an affinity for Gond art, an indigenous art form from the region. My Gond paintings feature intricate and delicate patterns, portraying elements of nature, animals, and plants. Besides preserving this traditional art form, I hope to inspire viewers to appreciate the beauty in the world around them through my art. As I continue to evolve as an artist, I explore new techniques and mediums to push my creative boundaries. With a strong believe that art is a universal language that should be accessible to all, and I am passionate about sharing it with the world.
