About The Artwork

Technique: Acrylic / temper natural pigments / resins. four panels (0.3 cm crude dmf) prepared in tempera (hot glues and lithopone). Size: 100 x 81 x 3.5 cm. Framing: wooden frame 202 x 202 x 5 cm. Signature: signed and lower right. Madrid 2019. When I face and represent something as beautiful as the color of the lemon fruit and how it is surrounded by nuances of the color of its green leaves and how they change with the variation of light, they motivate that the romantic idea that I create as an image allows me painting ¨the lemon tree ¨but poetically and considering that the tree is part of the whole garden that frames it does not manage to deprive it of its freedom and that is the dominant intention in this work. Competing with the colors that we can see in nature is frankly impossible from my point of view, but in my work it is impossible for me to escape this incredible color palette, this fascinates me and motivates me compulsively to allow myself the luxury of expressing what I feel before your contemplation.
