About The Artwork
The painted objects was used by mother in my chilhood but also by me as the newspaper and the cup. They remember me a good time spent in serenity, before beginning our "daily war". But that time finished - as all finishes with death - and our memories, that are still alive into each of us, are committed to a frail thing, our mind (in the picture it's represented by the paper) and the paper is nailed to an empty black space (death?) which makes all dramatic. I hope my picture suggest to viewers the sweetness of my memories.

Since my childhood I was very fond of drawing, writing and theatre. I could study art only after taking my literature degree at the university and I begun to exercise oil painting only at about 40 years old. As I was a teacher, my first works were comics and illustrations for pupils. Some of them were published by italian editors. In the meantime I wrote tales, novels and dramas, which were played by my students. Of course the scenery was projected by me! I always loved to represent action in my works but this does not happen in my pictures on canvas, which are the place of rest and slowness. In my pictures there is a sort of suspension of action but this is not a choise... It happens despite me! Probably picture is for me the place of dream!
