VIEW IN MY ROOM
“Thou tellest my wanderings, put thou my tears in Thy bottle; are they not in Thy Book?” (Psalm 56:8) In Middle Eastern antiquity, those in mourning would cry into a glass jar, and bury it with the dead. Apparently in Lebanon and the Levant these jars are called “Bekayat”, from the Semitic or Arabic word for “crying”. The lower part of the face, beneath the eyes is based on the Yoruba Ife Head The upper part, above the eyes, is based on a Phoenician mask http://factsanddetails.com/media/2/20120208-Bardo_Masque_1.jpg
