We live in a world where exposure to sexualised imagery seems to be the norm for an increasingly younger age range. The Normalisation of Sexualisation is my response to this, highlighting how as a society we are encouraged to view more and more sexual content.The background of this mixed media work is a collage of page 3 type images and sex related newspaper articles, which has been overlaid with washes of various colours, and finally a lurid red 'Look Here' instruction is added on top, signifying the way our minds are being focussed entirely on the sexual qualities of a person in order to sell us goods and services.
