Welcome to Bakkia arts The Peacock Parade is one of my popular art series, in which ”A perfect day” is one of the best paintings. It is a textured acrylic painting done on a stretched ready to hang canvas of size 18 x 24 inches. In this painting, the male and female peacock are sitting on a plumeria tree branch which gives a jasmine-like fragrant plumeria flowers. In the background, there is also plenty of ripped Indian jujube fruit which gives food to these birds. The bold female peacock and the grand majestic male peacock are displaying their beautiful side to the world. In the painting - I used different shades of green and blue, along with the contrast between white flowers and red orange fruits. The near realistic texture of peacock feathers and plumeria flowers were created using Liquitex heavy modeling paste applied in layers before painting. A great partner, the beautiful flowers with fragrance and healthy food make a happy day. This loving scene gives happiness to anyone watching . Thank you.

Bakkia’s artistic journey began in her early childhood when she could first distinguish figures, colors and textures. Since then, art has become part of her communication. She was born in a small affluent town called Karaikudi in Tamil Nadu, India and currently residing in the historic town called Greer in SC, USA. She mostly creates acrylic painting over a richly textured modeling layer and gives a 2D or 3D focal point to her subjects. Her experience of life, travel and culture shapes her art subject. Before starting a new project, she does a thorough analysis of the subject and tries to build a unique expression out of it. Most of her work represents co-existence and interdependence. She is a strong supporter of sustainable development and nature conservation.
