About The Artwork
Acrylic on canvas, 50 x 40 cm, 2011. A part of a Light Threads series. The series is inspired by two lines from Faust: Now the air is filled with phantom shapes, it`s hard to see how anyone escapes. (Faust II, Act 5, Midnight) Main character is a plush bunny, he is an echo of humanity. But along with problems he also brings solutions to the table. And as such, he is a symbol of love, light and hope. Only people can save people.

Žiga Korent (1984) graduated with a master's degree in painting (MA) from the College of Visual Arts in Ljubljana under the supervision of Mladen Jernejec. He regularly exhibits his work at group and solo exhibitions. In 2020, two of his works were included in the art collection of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia - "New Wave". He lives and works in Ljubljana.
