I am the one who believes in herself and tries to seize every opportunity. I concern myself with the issues of life and death, pleasure and pain, revealing and concealing, freedom, desire and fear. The fragility of identity, the danger of losing or forgetting one’s past, is a critical focus point of my practice. Through performance, video, painting and textile, I speak up my own voice that was once rendered mute. I have a unique perspective on life and art that is influenced by passion and conflict. My artworks evoke emotions and conversations that have been drawn directly from my own experiences.
