The painting depicts a wise and spiritual leader, known as a sage, who is seated in the center of the composition. The hookah in the painting, is often used as a symbol of the sage's connection to the divine, as the smoke rising from the pipe is thought to represent the release of one's earthly concerns and the ascent to a higher state of consciousness. The colors and brushstrokes used in the painting are soft and muted, creating a serene and contemplative atmosphere. The overall composition of the painting conveys a sense of wisdom, peace and spiritual connection. The sage's meditative state, as well as the hookah, all suggest that he has a deep understanding of life's mysteries. The painting can be a spiritual guide for the viewer to access higher levels of consciousness through meditation and contemplation. ©Devendra Prasad Poudyal
