Miljan Vasiljevic was born in Tuzla, BiH, Yugoslavia in 1972. Started exhibiting paintings in several galleries in Belgrade and painting professionally in 1995. Lived in Toronto, Canada 1998-2002. Participaded in several exhibitions in Praxis Gallery in Toronto during this period. Paintings part of collections of Liss Gallery and Ciparis Lennox Gallery in Toronto; Artemida Gallery in Scottsdale, Arizona; Simic New Renaissance Galleries Carmel, California, several galleries from Serbia, Bosnia and Montenegro, most prominently Spanac gallery in Belgrade. Since 2002 resides and works in Novi Sad, Serbia. Draws inspiration for his work from nature, nurturing photorealistic modern still lifes that often gravitate towards minimalistic elegant style, and on the other side peaceful often dreamed-up landscapes with themes and inspirations revolving around European natural sceneries spread between Mediterranean and central Europe. Paints almost exclusively in oil on canvas as this technique permits the achievement of color accuracy, transitions, transparencies and realistic effects that he strives for. Works featured in many private collections in across Europe, Canada and USA. Several major works featured in Premier Aqua Hotel in Vrdnik and in the collection of Serbian Chamber of commerce in Belgrade.
