About The Artwork
This work was inspired by immigrants all around the world. You can see skyscrapers silhouettes in the horizon with the Dollar sign on the top of one of them. Immigrants carry their hopes but they all fall off a cliff at the end of a destroyed bridge. I chose chinese ink because I wanted to communicate a harsh emotion in the viewer. The only color used is the one for the track left by the heart. With this painting, I participated at the XIth Biennale of Iberoamerican Art in 2017

I am Mexican, I draw and paint ever since I was a child. My parents would take me to museums and that entourage became natural to me. I always saw my father painting and drawing at home and he used to buy books on English science fiction illustrators, so I was always imagining galactic battles with dinosaurs. In my adulthood I have taken several figure in action drawing workshops because human anatomy and movement are very appealing to me. Furthermore, traveling to other countries has always been a source of inspiration for me.
