Title - ALONE IN THE GARDEN WITH A PEACOCK Print

Born in 1976 in Kozhencherry a village in Kerala, I started my career as an artist even before attaining academic training in traditional mural painting. My art studio, situated in a village which was ignorant of the beauty of paintings, is slowly bringing about changes in the perspectives of the people residing there, who once gave little importance to this form of art. I started my work from oil on canvas to traditional mural paintings, is now focusing on contemporary paintings. The artistic method followed by me does not go in line with the conventional style. In those paintings with a prominence to green, without giving the colours a smoothening effect I makes visible to the spectators, from a different point of view,the ordinary spectacles and nature. My paintings were of the opinion that more than being a satiating experience to the eyes a painting should bring about a quake on the spectators’ thoughts. I never advises the dismissal of photorealism and traditional mode of painting but he strongly recommends that the work of art should touch upon the conscience of the viewer.
