Trail of Aspen Leaves Print

Upon a cool toned grey ground I applied thick layers of a raw yellow to define the leaves of the aspen trees leading off into the distance. I contast this with moments of deep greens and blues in the trees and rock forms of the foreground. The pathway opens before the viewer in loose horizontal forms peppered with spots of bright yellow leaves, freshly fallen. It leads the eye upward, deeper within the scene to an obscure bend of the trail.
