Born and raised in Flanders, I have been living in Paris for the last 30 years, traveled extensively around Asia and am now hooked to Ireland where I go at least 5 times a year. I trained as an art historian and work as a lecturer and guide at musée d'Orsay. Living and working in close contact with world famous masterpieces "”combined with a father who also trained in fine arts"” made it natural for me to pick up the brush. Watercolour and pastel are my favourite media but I am currently dicovering charcoal and love its amazing possibilities. As far as subjects are concerned, landscape and flowers come first, my major source of inspiration being Ireland and other celtic countries which provide such stunning sceneries.
