ART IS MY FIRST AND MOST BEAUTIFUL REFUGE Born in Germany and raised in Düsseldorf (State capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, a home of art and culture). Now I live in the greener countryside. Observing nature and its structures fascinates and inspires me. I love plein air painting and urban sketching. Play, experiment and freedom are my motivation - continuous change is certain. Watercolor and mixed media techniques are ideal and allow me transparency, fluidity, contrast and amazement. The human being is also subject of my art - as well as in my pedagogy or therapy. I deal with moods and human relationships and use colors, shapes and words ... expressed by portrait and nude in acrylic on canvas for example. I am particularly inspired by Beuys' expanded concept of art and the creative potential of all individuals.
