Two Chairs - Napping Ginger Cat in Pink Interior After Matisse Print

This piece features a lovely ginger cat, stretched out and napping on a rattan chair. The chair is one of two, side-by-side and each features a cushion with a different print, one adorned with crayon doodles of pot plants and the other with monstera leaves on an indigo blue background, framed by bright pom-pom bobbles. The floor is a soft pale blue and is partially covered by a rug in a warm golden cream color with a soft blue floral design, these contrast with the walls of the room which are painted in soft warm coral pink, with gentle orange tones coming through. A shelf of interior plants is mounted on the wall above the chairs, with an array of different leaf shapes represented in a palette of different greens and pinks. This piece is part of my Hockney inspired chair series and also demonstrates a clear Matisse influence in the illustration and painting style. It is painted on cradled board and is ready to frame or hang as is.
