About The Artwork

Two pears on a red plate. The work was written from nature, at the end of autumn the most delicious fruits are the very last. I still have a couple of pears and a desire to convey the poured ripeness of these fruits. Why two? Pears, as a symbol of pairing, longevity and true love. The life span of a tree is about a hundred years or more, and the shape of a pear was associated with love and motherhood among many peoples. Pears are arranged on a handmade red clay plate, nourishing them with the color of passion and love. But also, this is just a still life with pears. The work is done with professional watercolors on 100% cotton

Welcome! I am Elena Ermolenko was born in Zaporozhye, Ukraine. Has been selected as an Associate Artist of English Unison Color Pastels since 2020. From 2018-2020, 3 books with my graphic illustrations were published. I have an incredible need to paint, my inspiration is people and nature! Now it is interesting to paint a portrait of a person, as well as landscapes of nature, both abstract and real, but everything is based on wildlife. Drawing is my life! I mainly work with graphic materials, pastels, charcoal, pencil and watercolors, in order to feel direct contact with my hands and convey images through the materials. I am a member of the IWS At the moment I also take an active part in international competitions and exhibitions. At the same time, I work both in traditional techniques, such as watercolor and pastel, and in experimental ones. I use non-traditional materials, paint on metal sheets, plywood, trying various textures and soils. I will be happy to share with you more information about the creation and my creative process on my social media pages, on YouTube and on the website.
