About The Artwork

As an emigrant, I realized that no matter how well I speak the language of the country in which I live, no one really understands me, my culture, my background, even my own poems in my native language. And here I push it to the limit and create my own language, which no one on the Earth understands at all.

Julia is a talented artist based in Milpitas, California. She works with various media, including oils, watercolors, ink, and more. Hailing from Ukraine, Julia embarked on a new chapter of her life and artistry when she relocated to the United States four years ago. Julia's artwork was significantly influenced by the unique natural landscapes and cultural vibrance of her newfound home in California. This inspiration led her to generate an enthralling series of works that visually narrate her personal experiences and observations of her Californian surroundings. Alongside this, she began exploring the limitless realm of abstract art, adding another dimension to her creativity. However, the war that erupted in her homeland of Ukraine has had a profound influence on her work. The peaceful themes and vibrant palettes were gradually replaced by a darker, more somber aesthetic. As a reflection of her empathy towards her nation, her more recent creations are deeply centered around portraying the raw anguish and untold suffering of the Ukrainian people. These emotive works are powerfully evocative, stimulating deep thought and invoking poignant emotions within the observer. Custom orders are very welcome! orimoniya@gmail.com +14154639871
