About The Artwork

Jim Wildman creates serene, abstract art using alcohol inks. In addition to the alcohol ink, he has developed a method of painting latex and acrylic layers over the design and also adds charcoal and watercolor pencil. This allows him to clarify the lines and add detail. His designs often appear to have natural inspirations, such as designs found in marbling, water flowing and flowers. Jim creates bold and often cool-toned alcohol ink artwork.; freely adding contrasting colors and space for visual balance. While he implements his own abstract style, he designs follow serendipity patterns and then he guides flow with blowing with a straw a hand blower or a blow dryer elegantly guiding the flow He also uses earth tones, jewel tones, and elegant pastels to bring out the alcohol ink's truly translucent potential. Jim Wildman is a versatile artist who also enjoys using alcohol ink. He shares and promotes not only his own original works, but also the works of others. He offers online courses at Art Lessons Now in alcohol ink painting, as well as free tutorials to help aspiring artists master some of her techniques. His style uses vibrant colors that truly test the fluidity and control of the alcohol inks he uses in his abstract and representational pieces.
