About The Artwork

I wanted to symbolize with this painting, the importance of having the necessary strength to end this damn virus for our survival, to end this "Annus horribilis" 2020 and for this we need all the energy to continue walking in the hardest moments. It is for this reason that I strongly bite the virus and destroy it. This is what I would like to convey to people looking at my canvas. I chose the colors because: The energy from the red color is described as that stimulates strong feelings such as passion, abundance and celebration. Love, courage y and self-confidence. For many painters, white was the most perfect color, which is why it is not surprising to learn that it is associated with perfection and not many negative aspects are related to this color. White is the sum of all colors, which is why it also symbolizes integrity. Likewise, it is the color of the new, the beginnings, oblivion, cleanliness, resurrection and truth. Luisa Barba

Born in Barcelona, Spain. Since the age of ten she began taking lessons from the painter Odile Kurz at the Betania-Patmos foundation. Her first steps in art were with her father José Mª Barba Albiñana,an excellent artist in enamel reproductions of a large majority of the most renowned painters of history, encompassing all styles: Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, Gothic, Romanticism, Realism, Cubism, Impressionism, Expressionism, etc, He was also a well-known jeweler as he was jeweler studies and profession. Luisa worked since she was fourteen with him for several years in the enamel reproduction technique combining studies and work. Then, she spent some years designing and selling jewelry.. She returned later to what she had always liked, painting. Art, beauty and to be able to reflect it, to shape it in some way, is her way of expressing. Art in general is the evolution of the human being with the five senses and sometimes with a sixth. Without art you cannot see the evolution of society. My art, my paintings is the expression of my feeling, my evolution or stagnant, but most importantly, they are the expression of my spirituality, my euphoria and my depression. My eyes are crying, that's what they say. From the sadness I sometimes feel, from my desire to cry or from my desire to laugh. My pictures are my joy or my sufferings. Sometimes my art is concrete, sometimes not, but it is a reflection of the deficiencies and the virtues of the human being. They’re my struggle, they’re my spirit.
