About The Artwork
This is a portrait of a mid-century model. It is a watercolor sketch done in black watercolor paint. For almost two decades I have explored gender identity in my work. My interest in the determinants of gender is rooted in feminism and began when I was an undergraduate psychology major. The painting was done in watercolor on Arches® watercolor.
