About The Artwork

‘Volcanic Inferno’, was inspired by personally witnessing the most active volcano in the world … ‘Kilauea’, in Hawaii. Painted in vibrant fluid acrylics on a large canvas, with my own experimental mix and personal technique to create controlled cells, ‘Volcanic Inferno’ almost radiates heat. It is a total visual experience, which draws the viewer to look closer at the climbing, flaming ‘hot’ cells. Appealing to all five senses, see the bright red and yellow leaping flames; hear the crackling and popping of the fire; experience the taste and smell of the acrid black and lilac hazy smoke and hold your hands over the slightly textured painting to feel the heat! See a 3D image and get even closer to the fire by looking through the special 3D glasses. I have always loved the use of bright colours to create expressive abstract combinations of contrasts and shapes that are both aesthetically pleasing and which create or trigger a ‘feeling’. Simply feel its power, energy and temperature.

Based in London, Professor Ian Cooper is a well established international author and speaker on business and personal development topics. He has written 16 successful books and is published in 13 languages and 56 countries. In recognition of his abstract art work, Ian was shortlisted for a major national art prize in 2018, and has now been been selected to have his own month long exhibition in September 2019 at the Radlett Centre, London. He is becoming known for his experimental fluid acrylic art abstract paintings and his own 'cellular' hot style. The hallmark of his paintings are his use of vibrant contrasting colours and the way he creates his almost biological cell pictures. Using special style photography, he is now able to offer some uniquely compelling prints of sections of his original paintings, as an amazing image in its own right. These can be printed on canvas, paper for framing and in a range of sizes. He is also available for commissions of similar works to almost any colour scheme.
