About The Artwork

Waiting for Lily ….In this work, I sought to capture the essence of a suspended moment, this delicate moment of waiting charged with anticipation. I used acrylics and oils to bring to life this impressionist scenario tinged with expressionism, where each figure, from the lady at the window to the seated figures, evokes its own story. The muted tones and blurred silhouettes invite reflection on the transitory moments of life, those moments when everything can change, captured here in the intimacy of a peaceful interior.

I am an English Artist , who since 2005 has lived in France . My career in art began in both Primary and Secondary schools , i had the chance of having an incredible art teacher , Kitty French. She was probably the most influential woman to my career as an artist after college I went on to study Sculpture at Hastings Art School where I fell in love with clay , in every form , sculptural and practicle. After Art school I met the most influential man to work alongside he was a great Master Potter, Michael Crosby Jones, who allowed me to discover almost every aspect of ceramic art . Ceramic art is a big part of my life but Sculpture and Painting are also big parts too. My paintings are often inspired by my childhood memories that are very special to me . In my paintings i work alot with oil and acrylic . Many chances fell my way during my time in the UK , i created The Sussex Festival of Art, exhibited in London, Cornwall and Sussex Galleries. I exhibited alongside Stella, Heather and Mary Mc Cartney in a collective exposition at an Art gallery in Sussex . My work has been featured in art magazines also here in France. My work is collected by private art collectors , actors , artists and even politicians! My art is sold all over the world with the help of Saatchi and other online galleries. For me my Art is of stories , eclectic memories of my childhood, real and semi-imagined, always a presence of a half understood World .
