About The Artwork
A celebration of the jazz age, the 20s-40s, an era I adore well before I was born. I just love the free-flowing exuberance of the area, which I've decided to capture in this ink and watercolour piece, where music and wine are metaphorically paired as two dancers. The free-flowing nature of each feeds into the other. This is perfectly portrayed by the sketchy and loose style. I cheekily added a cameo of the great Satchmo, aka Louis Armstrong, a great musical hero of mine.
