About The Artwork
A visit to a beautiful pond in the woods of northwest Connecticut was my inspiration for this painting. My version is a bit romantic - I hope the viewer will appreciate that! I used oil paint for the subtlety of the colors, and a palette knife for the ease of making the short decisive strokes of paint. It is wired for hanging, and the edges are painted so no frame is required. I leave that choice to the new owner, but would suggest a "floater" frame in a natural wood color if one is desired.
