Painting: Oil on Canvas.

At Preveza city (Greece) there is a narrow slated side street. It is the famous and graphic Seitan Pazar which means Devil's Bazaar. It took its name from the "curse" that a Turkish satrap emitted falling from his horse, back at Ottoman period. The satrap had such a brutal behavior, that people hated him. So, Greek merchants rubbed a soap on the stones where the satrap would pass, causing his fall from the horse, revenging him for his cruelty. No one has ever thought of call it by its official name. For about 700 years now, it is called Seitan Pazar...
