Y=f(x) is a painting based on and created with the help of a mathematical formula, more precisely of the function Y=1/x. The resulting curve is a hyperbola. The other principle/formula used is that of the Golden Section. it was interesting to experiment and I wanted to show how a mathematical expression could be aesthetic too. Mathematics is all around us and informs the whole being.
