Architecture 5 - Limited Edition of 50 Print

It's a great pressure for me to see those colourful architecture. I use traditional film to take photographs. When I travelled to some small towns Melbourne, such as Bendigo, I found some attractive, quiet and gorgeous places. After that, I try to capture some charming architectures which are situated in quiet places. Because it is unusual to see colourful one-storey houses in China. My idea was influenced by Ben Thomas. He mainly focuses on the landscape with vivid colour. I feel that his photographs more like gouache. There is another photographer whose artworks shows a similar genre, Marietta Varga. One of Her artworks, My Town Siófok II (2017) displays a mysterious style. The colour is uniform hue with turquoise, pale yellow and white. MeanwhileInNowhere is a Poland architectural photographer. Recently, his artworks are focusing on a flat form of historical buildings with the grey sky. I understand that during the winter the grey colour covers the sky in Poland. By contrast, it is common to see vivid winter colour in Melbourne. His artworks inspired me to show glaucous sky with bright colours on the buildings. Travelling to different suburb my goal, and each place is Victoria terminus station. For the first assignment, I want to display a series of the small scale of architecture with the large sky. With some landscaping in small places, human activities are insignificant from the universe. For the second and last assignment, probably I will focus on three forms, the specific part of the architecture, the mini form of architecture and workshops.
