About The Artwork
The image shows a group of silver birch trees in a forest in Scotland, captured using the icm (intentional camera movement) technique. I like using this technique for certain subjects, as it produces an abstract, ethereal feeling in the image. I have added a cool blue tone to the image to enhance the feeling of coldness, but the tone can be altered to suit individual decor. Limited Editions are printed on fine art matt 100% cotton paper, using pigment inks which are guaranteed for a lifespan of at least 85 years. Prints have a white margin in addition to the image size, and are signed, numbered and titled in the margin.

From my window, I can watch the ever-changing waters of the Moray Firth, stretching away to the distant hills of Sutherland and Caithness. I have always lived near the sea, and find it a constant inspiration for my work, together with the wild and varied landscape which surrounds me.
