About The Artwork

Caracol or spiral stairs may be kinda photo cliché, but I tried to explore better its shape and made a gorgeous black and white treatment.

I'm a photographer and art director based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where I was born in 1966. Photography is a passion since my childhood. I was influenced by my father and my oldest brother, who was photo amateurs, which means they were real enthusiasts. I am graduated in Social Communications - Advertising Bachelor, by Escola de Comunicações e Artes (ECA-USP) since 1987, where I also learned the basics of photography. Working as an art director for more than 20 years, I was in contact with experienced photographers. In the last years, due to new opportunities, I've been joining collective exhibitions and cultural projects, such as: - "Sao Paulo Railways" - with Cafe Tortoni Group - São Paulo - 2005 - "Coffee" - with Cafe Tortoni Group - São Paulo - 2005 - "Creatives Behind The Lens" Contest, by Corbis Images - as finalist for the final exhibition, in Buenos Aires - 2006 - "Brazil by Night", a photobook, with 70 other photographers, some of which are famous brazilian ones - 2008 - "Urban Photography" and "Photojournalism" workshops - Carrefour Institute - 2009 - winner in the final contest. Currently working as independent photographer for various kinds of production, mainly for advertising agencies and fine art for my own collection.
