About The Artwork

Bright and colorful digital painting created from a photo I took of Selma, Alabama while standing on the historic Edmund Pettus Bridge. The bridge is the site of the civil rights 'Bloody Sunday' conflict which occurred on March 7, 1965. Original printed on 20 x 20-inch Smooth Photo Cloth which has a very fine weave that produces vivid, sharp prints with brilliant colors. It includes a heavy gloss coating to protect the print and further bring out the colors. The original comes ready to hang and is 'float mounted'. A hidden black box on the back keeps the print perfectly flat and creates the appearance that the artwork is floating or suspended.

If you believe a photograph can be absolutely amazing then you share my passion for photography. It's a beautiful art form that allows us to capture special moments in time and pass them along to future generations as art and keepsakes. Born, raised, and currently living in the southern United States, my style often reflects my love for bold vibrant color. I'm particularly fond of the creativity that can now be achieved through photo editing and manipulation. I have extensive experience in this area and a wide variety of photo editing tools at my disposal including Adobe Photoshop CS6, Adobe Lightroom, Corel Paint Shop Pro, and Corel Painter. My work has won awards at the Georgia National Fair, Macon Cherry Blossom Festival, and the Middle Georgia Art Association. One of my photos was selected as a finalist for Ron Howard's and Canon's Project Imaginat10n and another selected for use on the History Channel's American Pickers television show.
