About The Artwork

It's very unusual to see collectible automobiles parked on the street in the US, so when I visited France I marvelled at how this machine occurred to me to have been treated like a plebeian French lover...common yet exquisite.

(Self-taught) I have an academic background in communication, education, and library and information science. I am fascinated by nature, colour, composition, urban life, machines and science. Growing up in Brooklyn, New York, I was fascinated from an early age by multiculturalism, consumerism, television, and making collage. Against the backdrop of the new-wave and punk movements in NYC, I produced a few solo tracks (lead vocal, with producer and local DJ Stephen D'Aquisto) as one of the first sample artists ever recorded on vinyl. I started taking pictures at a young age and later enrolled in film production at Brooklyn College New School of Liberal Arts. I preferred very poor analog equipment and do not have any work archived, except for digital work from this millenium. Later on I took pottery and painting at Southern Connecticut State University, where I met groups of affiliated artists in the Yale-New Haven area. Many of whom produce and show their art in New England. Most of my unpublished work (1991-2012) is in poetry, performance art and as lead singer in the rock band, Soju Chozu in Seoul, Korea (2004-05). Most recently I worked on a series of photographic wood transfer prints of my images.
