About The Artwork

January. One of the hottest days in India. I was waiting for the train that would take me from the southernmost point of India northward. The time in the heat stretched interminably long. I stared at the stones scattered on one of the station's platforms. I thought about how many minutes, hours, days, months they had been heated by the scorching sun and cooled by the cold light of the moon, over and over again, with no expectation of salvation or change. This frozen time within time horrified and delighted me. After an interminable fifteen minutes, our train arrived... I recommend printing on matte or pearlescent paper for this diptych. Rolling on black foam board is an option. This print is available in other sizes or paper. The size of one photo is 50cm x 37,5cm

Alyssa A. (b. 1992) is a Barcelona-based visual creator. She is a graduate of the Academy of Art and Design ‘2017, there she gained an academic foundation that gives her the ability to create projects without limiting her visual language to different techniques and materials. Her portfolio includes works made in painting, graphics, jewelry and glass. Alyssa’s approach to work is based on "three elephants": (to be) an observer, (to be) an explorer, to be involved. Photography and movies always have been the most important part of Alyssa’s life. In 2020, it became her main activity: she went into the commercial photo/video area, combining collaborations with international brands and companies with working on her creative projects. In 2021, she graduated from the Contemporary Photography course (curated by Alexei Nikishin) at Universal University. Also, her graduation project 'Tired to be a bird' won the university's annual award. Now Alyssa works in project photography with an interest in art and documentary. Also, video projects have a special place in her work as an artist.
