About The Artwork

My new project, "Freeride" opened my eyes to the world of colors. I take colored pictures spontaneously while riding my bicycle in cities (so far in Berlin and Budapest) without composing or looking into the camera, then I select the ones which are interesting in terms of form and color. I cooperate with casualty, but at the same time I still remain conscious. This gives me a sense of freedom, both in terms of expression and action. I divided the series into three categories: abstract, form and people.

My name is Illés Tóth. I started studying photography at a Danish Folk High School, Brandbjerg Hojskole in 2012. A few months later I bought my first DSLR camera and commenced clicking photos on the street. I continued my studies at different private courses and master classes. Meanwhile, exhibitions began to start up: for the first time only at smaller, less-known places, but afterwards I succeeded to introduce my works at even more serious spots. I love spontaneity, I like to catch the unique moments of the streets, not to mention the special expressions of human beings. My catchword is fortuitousness, but sometimes I also prefer pre-arranging scenes. Recently, I crossed the border between photography and graphics and started experimenting with creating colorful montages in photoshop. These montages are usually made from my own photos, sometimes I take a few copyright free photos from pexels.com.
