The "marginal phenomena" show plant forms that have been created from photographs by image processing. Due to the missing background, the outer contours of the plant parts are emphasized, so that one can grasp the variety of forms of nature in a reduced way and draw cross connections to similar forms. The captured stem and flower shapes are results of nature's optimizations to achieve the best evolutionary features with minimal material. The images shown aim at the perception of reduction and aesthetics of natural forms and lines.
