I first became interested in photography in HS of Art and Design. I would photograph friends and family, while still studying Art and Illustration. Then at Parsons School of Design I studied with Larry Fink, Mathew Klein and took master classes with Lisette Model and George Tice. For many years photography was my primary artistic outlet culminating in a successful career as a Fashion, Music and Celebrity photography. I had assignments that often took me to different parts of the world and as a result I have built a vast archive of original images, which I now draw on for creating my most recent works. My Collages combine beauty, chaos and tension through the layering and blending of the photographic image and the texture of the paint. Always playing with and against each other the photos and the paint combine to create a dreamlike version of reality. I then started to create new photos digitally sometimes using my collages. The subconscious stresses of my life have been challenging me to create a new world. By letting me be in the moment, feeling life and breaking out of my comfort zone I begin to notice the world around in a new way.
